Bruin joined our family at Christmas, 2005. If I had to use only one word to describe him it would be GOOF!
Bruin’s goal in life is to make us laugh and this he does quite well! He started his show career in ’07 and his first weekend out he took Best in Breed both days. He achieved his Championship with ease. Special thanks to Laurinda Parks for doing a great job with our boy.

Jillee is from our first litter. She was one of three pups, all girls. I told my husband we may as well keep her because she was so mischievous when she was young, I figured if we sold her the new owners would likely send her back anyway! She has turned out to be the sweetest dog I have ever had the pleasure of living with. I am very glad we kept her.

Nan is our first Bernese. She has exceeded our expectations of this breed with her wonderful personality. Very much a “little princess” she has always been placed on a pedestal by all whom she meets. Her kind and gentle nature makes her the favourite in the house. Nanny was meant to be mine. When we were driving home from picking her up my husband noticed her tattoo # was SA3 72N. The weekend we got her would have been my mother’s 72nd birthday and her name was Noreen, in fact, I had planned ages before I got her that I would call her Nan, my mother’s name from the grandchildren. Now that is more than coincidental!!!

This is Eppy. Pictured here at 4 months on the left and 10 months on the right. You can see why I am so excited about this girl. She comes to us from Joanne Gerow’s kennel, Indian Hill, in New York. When I started my search I was looking for a new male, but how could I pass up this!!!! She exudes the type, bone and temperament that I was looking for. Many thanks to Joanne for allowing this girl to come live with us and to she and Kip for the wonderful hospitality shown us when we were there. I am still full from the meal she set out!! Eppy’s Dad is from the well known kennel of Lilian and Dennis Ostermiller, De-Li. I also want to extend a thank you to this great couple for making us feel welcome to their home and giving us the chance to meet Eppy’s dad and other very nice dogs. Overall we considered our trip to New York a huge success, being able to purchase such a fine dog and meeting some wonderful people.

Rosie was my pick from Bruin and Jillee’s first litter. She is not an overly huge dog, but makes up for smaller stature with attitude!! She is what I call my Border Collie dressed up in Bernese clothes. She is so agile and quick, nothing on the farm moves with out her on their tail. My miniature horse is usually the brunt of her herding instincts and he takes it all very much in stride. I love this girl’s “look at me ” presence and her kind sweet nature which she inherited honestly from both her Mom and Dad.
